Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (B. R. Ambedkar) (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956) Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar , was one of India’s greatest leaders, social reformers, and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution . He dedicated his life to fighting against social discrimination, caste inequality, and untouchability, while working for equality, justice, and human rights. Early Life: Born in a Dalit (then considered "untouchable") family in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. Faced severe caste-based discrimination during childhood. Education : Ph.D. in Economi Studied at Columbia University (USA ) – earned acs.Studied law at London School of Economics and became a barrister . One of the most highly educated leaders of his time.
